Description

[Eternal masterpiece that Britain is proud of] The Spitfire fought hard as the main fighter of the Royal Air Force during World War II. Its beautiful oval wings and tight fuselage were far more sophisticated in structure and aerodynamics than its contemporaneous fighters, and it was equipped with the famous Rolls-Royce Merlin liquid-cooled engine. The prototype aircraft made its first flight in March 1936, and the first mass-produced Mk.I began deployment in August 1938. In the Battle of Britain in the summer of 1940, when Britain faced a crisis of national survival, the Mk.I served as the core of the fighter squadron, protecting Britain from the onslaught of the approaching Luftwaffe. The Luftwaffe suffered heavy losses and decided to postpone the British invasion indefinitely. Due to this success, the Spitfire became known as the “fighter to save the nation” by the British public.

[Model details] This is a plastic model assembly kit of Spitfire Mk.I. ★1/48 scale, total length 191mm, total width 235mm. ★Accurately modeled the beautiful style composed of curved surfaces based on detailed research on actual machines. ★The front canopy, sight, antenna support, pitot tube, etc. are available in various specifications that are equipped with the Mk.I. ★The inside of the cockpit, which has a structure without floorboards, is also accurately reproduced. ★Canopy can be opened or closed. Part of the fuselage is divided into large parts to create separate parts for the canopy in its open and closed states. Even in the open state, the sense of scale is not lost. ★A set of 3 types of slide marks that can reproduce the early markings of aircraft participating in the Battle of Britain, Dynamo (Dunkirk evacuation support), and the early markings before the outbreak of World War II. ★Includes 1 pilot figure in a seated position.
